Clinton Reaches Out to Laos

In July, U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton went to Laos. The last time a secretary of state went to Laos was in 1955. Clinton wanted to help the struggling adj. facing many problems country.

Unexploded Bombs

During the Vietnam War, Laos was on the side of North Vietnam. Between 1964 and 1973, the U.S. dropped more than 2 million tons of bombs on Laos.
